You will have seen the No Headphones logo on you entry pages. A lot of people wonder why we require you to comply with this rule. The reason is simple - we need you to be able to hear any warnings given by our marshals when you are out on the road. We do try and keep the race traffic free but we cannot bar any vehicle that has a genuine need for access. If there is a vehicle on the course we want you to avoid a collision - there would be so much paperwork to fill out after!
We want to stress we do love music. We hope to have plenty around the course on the day and runners can play tracks through their phone speakers as they pound round (although we retain the right to ban anyone playing "Crazy Frog" on repeat loop even though it might give runners surrounding them an added incentive to put their foot down).
What are you listening to when you're clocking up the training miles? We'd love to hear your favourite training tracks and we can add them to the Wyvern 10K Training Tracks playlist on Spotify. Check it out through the link below and send us your suggestions through the comments (although please note "Crazy Frog" suggestions will be immediately disregarded).
Our blog will keep you up to date with all the developing details of the event
